Basilar artery was evaluated through suboccipital window. Imaging success rates were determined, and quantitative values were measured. The parameters recorded routinely in the study were PSV, ED V, MV, PI and RI for each artery. The achievement rates were 93.75 %, 34.3 %, 90.6%, 62.5 % in middle cerebral artery (M1 and M2 together or separately), posterior communicating artery, P1 segment of posterior cerebral artery and P2 segment, respectively. Temporal window problem' was encountered in 2 cases. All of PI were 0.73-0.74 and all of RI were 0.50-0.52 for four arteries. The highest velocity was velocity of MCA. The lowest velocity was velocity of PCA. Power Doppler has great success in transcranial applications. The flows of the Willis's arteries were able to be seen by power Doppler US, and the true Doppler values were able to be measured. That experience will provide the application of the TCPD in many pathologic conditions in central nervous system.eng[Fen > Tıp > Genel ve Dahili Tıp]Quantitative and qualitative data of transcranial power and pulsed Doppler ultrasonography in volunteersDiğer
