The female and protonymph specimens of the species are collected from soil and litter under Pinus brutia, P. nigra, Olea europaea, Paliurus spina-christi, Pistacia terebinthus and Verbascum sp., Afyonkarahisar, Manisa, İzmir and Antalya provinces, Turkey. Also, the protonymph stage of M. shirazicus is described for the first time in this study.
