Three hundred and eighty-three women were selectedfrom 11 “family health care centers” by proportional stratifiedsampling. The data were collected using “Socio-demographicInformation Form”, “Attitude Inventory of Induced Abortion”and “Knowledge of Induced Abortion Form”.Results: The participants had the highest rates of agreementwith the items “induced abortion is a sin” and “induced abortionis a murder”. Multivariate analyses showed that women at anolder age, women with higher education, women having anuclear family, women with fewer living children, women witha previous induced abortion, women using a modern familyplanning method, women defining themselves as nullifidiansor who did not fulfil religious rituals, and women having higherscores for knowledge of induced abortion had a more positiveattitude towards induced abortion.Conclusion: The results of the study showed that the attitudesof women towards induced abortion were affected by religion,but that they had the enough flexibility to have a positiveattitude when a medical or social necessity arose.eng[Fen > Tıp > Tıbbi Araştırmalar Deneysel, Fen > Tıp > Genel ve Dahili Tıp]Attitudes of Married Women Towards Induced Abortion in ManisaAraştırma Makalesi10.4274/imj.galenos.2019.34356
