PİLGER, P. crassifolia FORSSKAL, P. maritima L., and P. holosteum SCOP. (Plantaginaceae) – in Turkey were investigated using karyological techniques. The seeds of taxa were collected from natural habitats. The chromosome numbers are determined for four taxa (P. coronopus subsp. coronopus, P. coronopus subsp. commutata, P. crassifolia and P. maritima) as 2n = 4x =20 and one taxon (P. holosteum) as 2n = 2x = 12.
