    Redescription of Dysdera sultani (Araneae: Dysderidae) with the first description of the female

    During field trips made to investigate the dysderid fauna of Turkey, specimens of Dysdera sultaniDeeleman-Reinhold, 1988, previously known from males only, were collected. Detailed descriptions and photographs of the copulatory organs of both sexes are given.     Kut gen. nov., a new troglomorphic spider genus from Turkey (Araneae, Dysderidae)

    A new genus of troglomorphic Dysderidae is described, based mainly on the morphology of copulatory organs. The new genus Kut gen. nov., with the type species Harpactocrates troglophilus Brignoli, 1978, also includes two recently discovered new species from the coastal Mediterranean Turkey: Kut izmiricus sp. nov. and K. dimensis sp. nov. All three species display troglomorphic traits, most distinct in K. dimensis sp. nov. Another genus-level trait is a characteristic simple type of bulb in males. Female copulatory organ shows similarity to the endemic Caucasian genus Cryptoparachtes Dunin, 1992 in paraspermatheca structure, whereas the male copulatory organ is unique among all known Dysderidae. © Kadir Boga-Kunt et al.

    New records of the East Mediterranean Lachesana (Aranei: Zodariidae), with description of a new species

    A new species Lachesana bayramgocmeni sp.n. is described based on both sexes from Cyprus. The new species is compared in detail with L. blackwalli (O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1872). New data on the distribution of L. blackwalli in Turkey and Cyprus are presented. © ARTHROPODA SELECTA, 2020

    New data on the East Mediterranean Nemesüdae (Aranei: Mygalomorphae)

    The paper contains new descriptions of Brachythele zonsteini sp.n. from Central Anatolia, Turkey, and Nemesia cypriatica sp.n. from Cyprus, as well as a redescription of B. varrialei (Dalmas, 1922), with the first description of the conspecific female from Turkey.     Two new species of Dysdera (Aranei: Dysderidae) from Turkey; [Два новых вида пауков рода Dysdera (Aranei: Dysderidae) из Турции]

    Two new species of Dysdera Latreille, 1804, D. yigitakcai sp.n. (; Kahramanmaraş) and D. mehmeti sp.n. (; Gaziantep), are described from the eastern Mediterranean region of Turkey. Of these, D. mehmeti sp.n. belongs to the asiatica species-group. Dysdera yigitakcai sp.n. possesses characteristics of different species-groups but appears closest to the longirostris-group. In addition, photographs of the palp of D. neocretica Deeleman-Reinhold, 1988; D. fragaria Deeleman-Reinhold, 1988; and the vulva of D. argaeica Nosek, 1905 are included for comparison. © ARTHROPODA SELECTA, 2024.
