Item Death anxiety and satisfaction with life among the adults in the social isolation process of Covid-19 pandemic: the mediating role of perceived stressDogan, RS; Sirin, HDBackground The present study examined the mediating role of perceived stress during the social isolation process of the Covid-19 pandemic on the association between death anxiety and satisfaction with life. The participants of the study included 410 individuals (212 females and 198 males) from Turkey. Data were collected using the Death Anxiety Scale, the Perceived Stress Scale and the Satisfaction with Life Scale. Aims The aim of this study was to reveal the relationships between death anxiety, perceived stress and satisfaction with life and to test the mediating role of perceived stress on the effect of death anxiety and satisfaction with life in the Covid-19 pandemic process. Methods and results The structural equation modelling results indicated that stress mediated the impact of death anxiety on satisfaction with life. Moreover, the bootstrapping procedure revealed significant links from death anxiety to satisfaction with life through perceived stress in the social isolation process of Covid-19. Conclusions The findings of the study contributed to the structuring of psychological health services to be offered within the scope of public health during the Covid-19 pandemic and the understanding of the complex nature of the relationship between psychological factors and satisfaction with life. Possible explanations and limitations were discussed.Item A New Technology Acceptance Model on Industry 4.0: A Firm Based Regional AnalysisSelim, S; Dogan, RS; Sen, MThe aim of this study is to reveal the factors affecting Industry 4.0 tech-nology acceptance within the framework of a newly proposed Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) of medium and large-scale firms in Manisa and Izmir Organized Industrial Zones, which are important industrial centres in Turkey. Within the scope of the study, managers of 204 firms operating in Manisa and Izmir Organized Industrial Zones have been interviewed and the data obtained has been analysed by Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) within the scope of TAM. According to the findings, it has been found that perceived usability, perceived ease of use, perceived self-efficacy and financ-ing factors affect attitude towards Industry 4.0 use. In addition, it has been concluded that the attitude towards the use of Industry 4.0 also affects the Industry 4.0 usage intention and the Industry 4.0 usage intention affects the usage behavior.Item The impact of the source credibility of Instagram influencers on travel intention: The mediating role of parasocial interactionYilmazdogan, OC; Dogan, RS; Altintas, EThe primary objective of this study is to determine the impact of the sub-dimensions of source credibility (attractiveness, trustworthiness and expertise), and its secondary objective is to investigate the mediating role of parasocial interaction the effect of the sub-dimensions of source credibility on travel intention. The study was conducted with data obtained from 379 participants and the response rate was found to be 88%. The validity and credibility of the constructs were tested through confirmatory factor analysis, while its hypotheses were tested using path analysis. It was found, as a result of the study, that the trustworthiness and expertise sub-dimensions of source credibility significantly impacted travel intention and played a significant mediating role between the trustworthiness and expertise sub-dimensions of parasocial interaction and travel intention. It is thought that the mediating role of parasocial interaction, which was not previously available in the literature, will make an important contribution to the researchers working on tourism-related marketing research in understanding the travel intention.
