Item Psychometric Evaluation of the Turkish Form of the Spiritual Care Competence Scale(Springer New York LLC, 2019) Daghan S.; Kalkim A.; Sağkal Midilli T.The methodological study was aimed to assess the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the Spiritual Care Competence Scale (SCCS-T). The research was conducted on final-year Turkish nursing students (n = 297) in the faculties of nursing and health science in two cities in the western part of Turkey. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that three factors accounted for 75.18% of the explained variance. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for the SCCS-T was.97. The three-factor model of the SCCS-T was found to be a reliable and valid scale for evaluating spiritual care competencies of Turkish nursing students and nurses. © 2018, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.Item The Effect of Subcutaneous Heparin Injection Administration Training Given to Nurses on Their Knowledge and Skill Levels; [Hemşirelere Verilen Subkutan Heparin Enjeksiyon Uygulama Eğitiminin Bilgi ve Beceri Düzeyleri Üzerine Etkisi](Ataturk Universitesi, 2024) Doğru S.; Sağkal Midilli T.Objective: The aim of this study is to identify the lack of knowledge about subcutaneous injection application of nurses and to examine the effectiveness of the training given to increase their knowledge, skills in this direction. Methods: The study was a quasi‐experimental study using a pretest‐posttest design involving 42 nurses (21 in the intervention group and 21 in the control group) selected by lottery from a public hospital in Türkiye. The intervention group received training on subcutaneous injection administration, while the control group did not receive any training. Data were collected through three follow‐up sessions by two observers using forms containing skill checklists and information suggestions for nurses. Results: Significant differences were found between the intervention and control groups before (Z=‐ 2.231, p=.026), after (Z=‐5.590, p<.001) and one month after (Z=‐4.712, p<.001) the training. Common errors in the intervention group after the training were “injecting the drug and airlock quickly” (94.24%) and “squeezing dry cotton tampon” (38.10%). In the control group, 33.33% “did not squeeze the tampon between the ring and pinky finger”. There was also a significant difference in knowledge scores according to the duration of education (p<.05). Conclusion: The knowledge and skills of the nurses who received training in subcutaneous heparin injection application increased after the training. © 2024, Ataturk Universitesi. Method: The research is descriptive and cross-sectional. The sample of the research conducted between September and November 2021 consisted of 280 nurses working in two public hospitals in Turkey. 'Nurse Introduction Form', 'Individual Innovativeness Scale' and 'Organizational Creativity Scale' were used to collect data. Research data were used in frequency analysis in the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 15.0 package program. Number percentage distribution, descriptive analysis, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis Test and Spearman correlation analysis were used to analyze the data. Results: In the study, the average score of the nurses' individual innovativeness scale was found to be 64.21 (SD=8.87). The mean organizational creativity scale of nurses was found to be moderate (Mean=2.95, SD=0.59). It was determined that there were positive, weak, and statistically significant relationships between nurses' individual innovativeness and organizational creativity levels. (p<0.05). Conclusion: It was determined that there were significant relationships between nurses' individual innovation and organizational creativity. It has been observed that as individual innovativeness characteristics increase positively, the level of organizational creativity increases. As a result of the descriptive tests and Spearman correlation analysis, it is important to evaluate and increase the innovation levels of nurses and the level of using their creativity in increasing innovative behaviors in nursing, encouraging undergraduate and graduate education, increasing psychological support, providing innovation-related training programs and management support for the development of nurses' creativity. © 2024 The Authors.
