    This paper was insufficiently clear that Pycnogenol® was a registered trademark. Throughout the paper, "Pycnogenol"has been updated to "Pycnogenol®"or "phenolic", depending on context. Two other errors have also been corrected in the paper "The linearity of the method was between 0.994 and 0.9999"has been corrected so that it reads "The linearity of the method was between 0.9994 and 0.9999". "The amounts of catechin, epicatechin, catechin gallate and taxifolin in pycnogenol were given 7.92, 4.81, 0.81 and 17.04 mg/g in the literature, respectively."has been corrected so that it reads "The amounts of catechin, epicatechin, catechin gallate and taxifolin in pycnogenol were given 7.92, 4.81, 0.85 and 17.04 mg/g in the literature, respectively."This paper has now been corrected online. © 2021 The Author(s).
