Item A new species of Euscorpius Thorell, 1876 (Scorpiones, Euscorpiidae) from Turkey(2012) Tropea G.; Yaǧmur E.A.; Koç H.; Yeşilyurt F.; Rossi A.A new species of the genus Euscorpius Thorell, 1876 is described based on specimens collected from Dilek Peninsula (Davutlar, Aydin) in Turkey. It is characterized by an oligotrichous trichobothrial pattern (Pv= 7, et= 5/6, eb= 4) and small size. Euscorpius (Euscorpius) avcii sp. n. is the first named species of the subgenus Euscorpius from Turkey.Item First record of the genus Euscorpius thorell, 1876 (Scorpiones: Euscorpiidae) in Cyprus(2012) Yaǧmur E.A.The scorpion species Euscorpius italicus (Herbst, 1800) is recorded for first time from Cyprus. This represents a new scorpion family, genus and species record for the country. Besides, this is first insular record from Mediterranean Sea. It is characterized by a standard trichobothrial pattern (Pv= 8/9, et= 6, em=4, eb= 4), small size and light brown/reddish coloration. Most important differences between the new species and the three other species of the genus are included. © Entomologica Fennica. 23 April 2019.Item Redescription and New Record of the Harvestman Lacinius insularis Roewer, 1923 (Opiliones: Phalangiidae) from Turkey(American Entomological Society, 2019) Kurt K.; Yaǧmur E.A.Lacinius insularis Roewer, 1923, is recorded for the first time as part of the Turkish harvestmen fauna. Prior to this, the species was only known from the island of Crete in Greece. The new collections were made on Nif mountain in İzmir Province (far western Turkey). In this study, L. insularis is redescribed based on adults from Turkey. Its detailed description, morphological characteristics, distribution and measurements are given. Also, genitalia, body dorsal view, chelicerae, and pedipalp are illustrated. In addition, this species is compared with similar species. © 2019 American Entomological Society. All rights reserved.Item The scorpion fauna (Arachnida: Scorpiones) of the Southern regions of Sistan and Baluchestan Province with notes on the occurrence of Androctonus baluchicus (Pocock, 1900) in Iran(Universitatea din Oradea, 2020) MORADI M.; Yaǧmur E.A.; SOLTANABADI M.; SARPIRI S.M.In this study the scorpion fauna of southern parts of Sistan and Baluchestan province Southeast of Iran, were investigated. The samples were collected from 27 localities around the eight cities (Delgan, Iranshahr, Fanuj, Nikshahr, Sarbaz, Qasr-e Qand, Konarak and Chabahar) and a total of 338 specimens were collected. Androctonus baluchicus, Hottentotta sistanensis, Odontobuthus tirgari, O. tavighiae, Orthochirus fuscipes, Sassanidotus gracilis, Mesobuthus eupeus (Buthidae), Hemiscorpius acanthocercus, H. lepturus (Hemiscorpiidae) are identifed. This is the second Leiurus species reported for this country.
