Morphological and anatomical investigations of Romulea bulbocodium var. bulbocodium and Romulea bulbocodium var. leichtliniana (Iridaceae)
    (2011) Özdemir C.; Bozdaǧ B.; Akyol Y.; Şen U.; Sepet H.; Yetişen K.
In this study, the morphological and anatomical features of Romulea bulbocodium var bulbocodium L. and Romulea bulbocodium (L.) Seb. & Mauri var. leichtliniana (Heldr. ex Hal.) Bég were studied. In the morphological part of the study, features of various organs of the plants such as corm, scape, leaf and flower were determined and illustrated. In anatomical studies, crosssection of the plants root, scape and leaf parts were examined and demonstrated. The anatomical properties of the two varieties were determined to be similar to each other and also to other species of the genus Romulea. The aim of this study is to demonstrate the characteristics of the two taxa evaluating the results obtained from morphological and anatomical investigations.

Cytological study on Hippocrepis ciliata L. and Hippocrepis unisiliquosa ssp. unisiliquosa L. (Leguminosae) in Turkey
(Taylor and Francis Ltd., 2014) Yetişen K.; Özdemir C.; Sepet H.
Somatic chromosome numbers and karyotype of Hippocrepis unisiliquosa ssp. unisiliquosa L. and Hippocrepis ciliata L. (Leguminosae) collected from Turkey were examined. Chromosome numbers were determined as 2n = 2x = 14 in Hippocrepis unisiliquosa ssp. unisiliquosa L. and Hippocrepis ciliata. The mitotic chromosome number and karyotype of the taxa were reported here for the first time. © 2014 © 2014 Dipartimento di Biologia Evoluzionistica, Università di Firenze.

A morphological, anatomical and caryological study on endemic ornithogalum alpigenum stapf (Hyacinthaceae)
(Pakistan Botanical Society, 2015) Yetişen K.; Özdemir C.
Ornithogalum alpigenum Stapf is endemic to Turkey. Its morphological, anatomical and caryological properties were investigated. Cross-sections of root, scape and leaf parts of the plant were examined. Raphide were observed in scape cross section. Most of the anatomical properties were similar to the other member of Hyacinthaceae family. Chromosome number was determined as 2n = 2x = 22 in O. alpigenum. The mitotic chromosome number and karyotype of the species are reported for the first time in present study. © 2015, Pakistan Botanical Society. All rights reserved.

A statistical comparison of anatomical features in some ornithogalum sp. Species; [Comparação Estatística das Características Anatômicas em Espécies de Ornithogalum sp]
(Sociedade Brasileira da Ciencia das Plantas Daninha, 2016) Özdemir A.; Kocayiǧit H.; Yetişen K.; Akyol Y.; Özdemir C.
In the present study, Ornithogalum narbonense, O. montanum, O. wiedemannii, O. sigmoideum and O. lanceolatum species were compared statistically with respect to anatomical characters. Some differences were found in root, stem and leaf anatomy of the species. These differences and similarities were indicated in this study. A big metaxylem was present in all root cross sections, except for O. lanceolatum, which has three metaxylema. 2-3 layered annular type collenchyma were present in all species. Aerenchyma is present in all mesophiles. © 2016, Sociedade Brasileira da Ciencia das Plantas Daninha. All rights reserved.
