Item A new hypogean species of the subfamily paederinae (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) from Bulgaria(Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, 2015) Anlaş S.Lathrobium deltshevi sp. n. from the Mecha Dupka Cave in Bulgaria is described, and its diagnostic characters are illustrated.Item Age, growth and longevity of kotschy's gecko, mediodactylus kotschyi (Steindachner, 1870) (Reptilia, Gekkonidae) from Central Anatolia, Turkey(Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, 2015) Çiçek K.; Afsar M.; Kumaş M.; Ayaz D.; Tok C.V.We studied the age structure of Kotschy's gecko, Mediodactylus kotschyi, from the Sultan Mountains (Central Anatolia, Turkey) using the skeletochronological method. We examined the humeral diaphyseal cross sections of a total of 19 (six males and 13 females) museum specimens. Our results showed that the age structure ranged from three to seven years (mean = 4.2 years, SD = 1.47) in males and from two to eight years (mean = 4.5 years, SD = 1.81) in females. Both sexes reached sexual maturity after their second hibernation, and no statistically significant difference in age composition was observed between the sexes. There was a strong positive correlation between SVL and age (Spearman's correlation coefficient, r = 0.93) and Von Bertalanffy growth curves fitted to the relationships between age (k = 0.80) and SVL (SVLmax = 42.4). In conclusion, M. kotschyi is a short-lived species with a high growth rate.Item Contribution to the pselaphinae (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) of Anatolia, Turkey(Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, 2015) Bekchiev R.; Brachat V.; Anlas S.; Özgen I.; Yagmur E.A.; Örgel S.; Gjonov I.; Kostova R.As result of a short expedition during early spring in Western Turkey (Izmir, Aydin, Manisa and Denizli provinces), two new species, Bythinus beshkovi sp. n. and Bryaxis pumilus sp. n., have been discovered and are described here; the aedeagus and first two basal antennomeres of Bryaxis anatolicus Saulcy, 1878 are illustrated; faunistical data for 16 species are given, and photos of the habitus of the genera Namunia and Tremissus are provided for the first time.Item The genus xantholinus dejean, 1821 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: staphylininae: xantholinini) in Turkey: a new species from south-eastern Anatolia and new records of known species(Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, 2017) Anla S.Xantholinus (Helicophallus) kunti sp. n. from Siirt Province in South-eastern Anatolia, Turkey, is described and illustrated. Additional records of 19 other species of the genus Xantholinus are reported from Turkey. The distribution of 12 species of the subgenus Helicophallus in the country is mapped. © 2017 Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Totally, 16 species of this subgenus are known from Turkey. Additional records are reported for three species from Mediterranean countries: Astenus (Eurysunius) gusarovi Anlas, 2015 from Turkey, A. (Eurysunius) trisetulosus Coiffait, 1971 from Spain and A. (Eurysunius) beirensis Coiffait, 1973 from Portugal. The distribution of the species of the subgenus Eurysunius in Turkey is mapped. © 2018 Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. In this paper, the generalized formula and an algorithm (pseudocode) are given for edge harmonic index. The aim of this paper is to develop edge harmonic index for generalized carbon nanocones. © 2018 Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Union of Chemists in Bulgaria.
