Item Effects of nitric oxide-vascular endothelial growth factor systems in chick embryo cerebral vasculogenesis and angiogenesis; [Civciv Embriyosunda Serebral Vaskülogenezis ve Anjiogenezis Üzerine Nitrik Oxid-Vasküler Endotelyal Growth Faktörün Etkileri](Derman Medical Publishing, 2012) Temiz C.; Arslan M.; Sayın M.; Vatansever S.; Giray G.; Var A.Aim: Studies have depicted that nitric oxide and vascular endothelial growth factor systems have important biological effects in the development of vasculogenesis and angiogenesis. Material and Method: In this study; specific pathogen free white Leghorin type fertilised eggs were used. Result: Three main subgroups were designed regarding time points of 48; 72 and 80 hours of incubation. In 48 hours old embryos anjioblasts were seen; but no mature endothelial structure was present. In 72 hours old embryos endothelial maturation began. In the 80 hours there was a high level of endothelial maturation. In all 48 hours groups; tissue nitrite-nitrate concentrations were high but in the 72 hours group these values were higher than in the first group. In the 80 hours group; concentrations were lower and were statistically significant when compared to the 48 and 72 hours groups. Discussion: NO seems to be effective in early phases of vasculogenesis and angiogenesis; but its effect decreases with time. © 2012, Derman Medical Publishing. Chromosomal aberrant status was analyzed by fluorescence in situ hybridization with centromere specific and 17p13.1 locus specific probes. In 3 of 9 cancer patients we did not find malignant pleural effusion with histological examination and/or closed pleural biopsy. Heterozygous deletion of TP53 gene was found to be significantly higher in patients with malignant disease when compared to the patients with benign pleural fluid. As a result, we suggest that heterozygous deletion of TP53 may have indicator value for malignancy; however further studies are warranted to confirm this suggestion in large patient cohorts. © 2016, Journal of Clinical and Analytical Medicine. Material and Method: The study data were obtained using a through patient introduction form developed by the investigator: The Scale for Perception of Health in Hemodialysis Patients (SPHHP) and the Scale for Complaints-Symptoms in Hemodialysis Patients (SCSHP). The study sample included 205 chronic hemodialysis patients. The data were collected by face-to-face interviews with the patients, which were conducted by the investigator. Results: SPHHP is a five-point Likert-type scale and consists of 10 items. The scale’s Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient was 0.79. SCSHP is a five-point Likert-type scale and consists of 22 items. The scale’s Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient was 0.83. Discussion: Based on these results, SPHHP and SCSHP are valid and have a high level of reliability. We recommended using SPHHP and SCSHP scales, which were developed with a holistic approach because there was an absence in the literature in hemodialysis centers in order to minimize patient risks and to plan and implement required nursing care based on the results. © 2017, Derman Medical Publishing.
