Item Faunistical, ecological and zoogeographical evaluations on the subfamily Paederinae (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) in the Central Anatolian Region of Turkey(Entomological Society of Turkey, 2013) Sert O.; Turan Y.; Şabanoǧlu B.; Anlaş S.; Firat S.The scope of this study is to make evaluations on faunistic, ecological and zoogeographical situation of the subfamily Paederinae (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) in the Central Anatolian Region of Turkey. As a result of the study, 31 species belonging to 7 subtribes and 12 genera have been determined by field trips between years 2009-2011 in the Central Anatolian Region. Among them, one species, Rugilus longicollis (Fauvel, 1900), is reported as new record for Turkish fauna. Also three species, Scopaeus minutoides Coiffait 1969, Rugilus tauricus (Rougemont, 1988) and Tetartopeus adanensis Assing, 2004, were endemic for Turkey. Ten species Lathrobium wrasei Schülke, 1990, Astenus immaculatus Stephens, 1833, Paederus mesopotamicus Eppelsheim, 1889, Paederus riparius (Linnaeus, 1758), Rugilus angustatus (Geoffray, 1785), Rugilus orbiculatus (Paykull, 1789), Rugilus rufipes Germar, 1836, Scopaeus bicolor Baudi Di Selve, 1848, Scopaeus minutoides Coiffait, 1969 and Tetartopeus adanensis Assing, 2004 are reported as the first records for Central Anatolian Region.Item A new species of Sunius Curtis, 1829 from Turkey (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae, Paederinae)(Entomological Society of Turkey, 2014) Anlaş S.; Örgel S.Sunius honazensis sp. n. from Honaz Mountain in Denizli province, Turkey, is described, illustrated and distinguished from related congeners. © 2014, Entomological Society of Turkey. Additional records of five species are also reported. Amongst them, Astenus rhodicus Assing, 2013 is recorded for the first time from Turkey.Item Notes on the genus Astenus Dejean, 1833 from the Palearctic Region (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Paederinae)(Entomological Society of Turkey, 2017) Anlaş S.The genus Astenus Dejean, 1833 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Paederinae) contains more than 200 species in the Palearctic Region. In this paper, new and additional distributional data concerning 20 species of the genus Astenus in the Palearctic Region are presented. The studied material has been collected between 1928-2016 and also contained the types and additional specimens from some European museums. Among them nine species are first country records: Armenia (1), Azerbaijan (1), Bulgaria (2), Bosnia Herzegovina (1), France (1), Iraq (2), Israel (1), Syria (2), Kazakhstan (2), Turkey (1) and Turkmenistan (4). Besides, the original specimens of Astenus rufopacus Reitter, 1909 have been studied, the lectotype designated, the species redescribed and illustrated. © 2018 Entomological Society of Turkey. All rights reserved.Item A new mite species of the genus Favognathus Luxton, 1973 (Acari: Cryptognathidae) from Turkey(Entomological Society of Turkey, 2017) Akyol M.; Koç K.A new species of the genus Favognathus Luxton, 1973, Favognathus manisaensis sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on the females and males collected from soil and litter under Pinus sp. and Cornus sp. in Manisa and Izmir Provinces, Turkey between 2011 and 2013. The new species is closely related to Favognathus distortus (Kuznetsov, 1974) and Favognathus bafranus Dogan, 2008. A key to all known species of Favognathus from Turkey is provided.Item Notes on the genera Paederidus Mulsant & Rey, 1878, Paederus Fabricius, 1775 and Uncopaederus Korge, 1969 from the Palearctic Region (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Paederinae)(Entomological Society of Turkey, 2018) Anlaş S.The genera Paederidus Mulsant & Rey, 1878, Paederus Fabricius, 1775 and Uncopaederus Korge, 1969 comprise 117 species in the Palearctic Region. In the present study, new and additional distribution data for 16 species of the genera Paederidus, Paederus and Uncopaederus are reported from different countries of the Palearctic Region. The material examined was collected between 1884 and 2017; and contained types and additional specimens in European museums and Alaşehir Zoological Museum. Among them, six species are the first country records: Albania (1), Bosnia Herzegovina (2), Israel (1), Kazakhstan (1), Macedonia (1), Montenegro (2), Morocco (1). In addition, Uncopaederus signiventris (Smetana, 1962) is illustrated. Two synonymies are proposed: Paederus littoralis Gravenhorst, 1802 = Paederus pelikani Reitter, 1884 syn. n., = Paederus littoralis ilsae Bernhauer, 1932 syn. n. © 2018 Entomological Society of Turkey. In the present study, new and additional distribution data for 22 species of the genus Xantholinus are reported from various countries of the western Palearctic Region. The material examined was collected between 1898 and 2017; and contained types and additional specimens mostly in European museums. Among them, five species are the first country records: Azerbaijan (1), Armenia (1), Bosnia Herzegovina (1), Iraq (2), Jordan (1) and Macedonia (2). The original specimens of Xantholinus araxis Reitter, 1898 have been studied, the lectotype designated, the species redescribed and illustrated. Besides, the type specimens of Xantholinus phenicius Coiffait, 1971 (syn of Xantholinus rufipennis Erichson, 1839), Xantholinus kirschenblati Bordoni, 1975, Xantholinus fageli Coiffait, 1971 and Xantholinus gridellii carius Coiffait, 1972 (syn of Xantholinus varnensis Coiffait, 1972) are illustrated. © 2019 Entomological Society of Turkey. All rights reserved.Item A new species and additional records of genus Drusilla Leach, 1819 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Aleocharinae) from Turkey; [Türkiye’den Drusilla Leach, 1819 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Aleocharinae) cinsine bağlı yeni bir tür ve ek kayıtlar](Entomological Society of Turkey, 2020) Örgel S.A study was conducted on the fauna of the genus Drusilla Leach, 1819 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Aleocharinae) in Anatolia. The aim of this study was to contribute to biodiversity research by describing a new species, also, to provide a better understanding of the distributions of known species. The field trips were made in different provinces of Turkey between 2010-2019. Specimens were collected by hand and pitfall traps. Drusilla anlasi sp. n. from East Menteşe Mountains in Muğla Province, western Anatolia, is originally described. Additional records are given for six of the nine known species from Anatolia. The distributions of the known species are discussed and distribution maps are given. The diagnostic characters of the new species and sexual characters of the Drusilla lydica Assing, 2007, Drusilla recta Assing, 2005 and Drusilla canaliculata (Fabricius, 1787) are illustrated. (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Aleocharinae) türlerinin deskripsiyonları ve Türkiye’den Geostiba Thomson, 1858 için ek kayıtlar](Entomological Society of Turkey, 2021) Örgel S.As a result of field survey in the western Anatolia, Turkey (Aydın, Balıkesir, Denizli, İzmir, Kütahya, Manisa, Muğla) between 2014 and 2016, two new species of the subgenus Tropogastrosipalia Scheerpeltz, 1951 belonging to the genus Geostiba Thomson, 1858 are described and illustrated: Geostiba dindymosensis sp. n. from Kütahya and Geostiba yagmuri sp. n. from Balıkesir and Manisa. These two new species are compared with morphologically similar and geographically close species. Also, a map illustrating the distributions of these species is provided. Additional records of Geostiba aydinica Assing, 2006, Geostiba biformis Assing, 2006 and Geostiba nifica Assing, 2006 are presented. (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Paederinae) from Thrace Region of Turkey and additional records for the genus; [Türkiye'nin Trakya Bölgesi’nden Leptobium thracicum sp. n. türü (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Paederinae) ve bu cinse ait ek kayıtlar](Entomological Society of Turkey, 2021) Anlaş S.; Örgel S.The genus Leptobium Casey, 1905 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Paederinae) is represented in the Palearctic Region by 73 species and two subspecies. As a result of field survey in the north and southern Turkey between 2008 and 2021, a new species of the genus Leptobium is described and illustrated from Tekirdağ Province (Ganos Mountains, northwestern Turkey), and distinguished from related congeners: Leptobium thracicum sp. n. Additional records of five species of Leptobium from Turkey are presented. The genus is now represented in Turkey by 20 species with 15 of them endemic. © 2021 Entomological Society of Turkey. All rights reserved.Item On the genus Lobrathium Mulsant & Rey, 1878 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Paederinae) of the Palaearctic region II: A new species from Türkiye and faunistic notes on some species; [Palaearktik bölgedeki Lobrathium Mulsant & Rey, 1878 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Paederinae) cinsi üzerine II: Türkiye’den bir yeni tür ve bazı türler üzerinde faunistik notlar](Entomological Society of Turkey, 2023) Anlaş S.The genus Lobrathium Mulsant & Rey (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Paederinae) is represented in the Palaearctic region by 156 species. In the study, Lobrathium (s. str.) thracicum sp. n. (Kırklareli) from Türkiye is described, figured, and distinguished from geographically closest congeners. The genus is now known to occurin Türkiye by 12 species, 10 of which are endemic to this country. Faunistic notes on nine species of the genus Lobrathium in Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cyprus, Czechia, Greece, France, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, and Türkiye of the Palaearctic Region are presented. Two species that are taxonomically controversial, Lobrathium apicale (Baud di Selve, 1857) from Cyprus and Lobrathium. afghanicum Coiffait, 1979, synonym of Lobrathium triste (Cameron, 1924) from Afghanistan, are illustrated. © 2023 Entomological Society of Turkey.
