Abstract

Increasing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions are causing serious environmental problems. Environmentally friendly refrigerants must be used to achieve energy efficiency while reducing environmental concerns. Carbon dioxide, a natural refrigerant, plays a major role. In this study, a two-stage ejector carbon dioxide refrigerant refrigeration system is designed. The designed refrigeration system was intended for heating and medium and low-temperature refrigeration processes. Water and refrigerant circulation system was used for heating and refrigeration of the heating and refrigeration chambers. Using a gas cooler for heating, a heating capacity of 99.66 kW was obtained at a temperature of 144.3 degrees C, and the COP value was calculated as 1.2 6. For the refrigeration process, a refrigeration capacity of 165,56 kW was obtained at- 30 degrees C in the evaporator section, and the COP value was calculated as 2.11. In the designed refrigeration system, the power consumed by the compressor was calculated as 79.08 kW, and a capacity of 265.22 kW was obtained in heating and refrigeration processes. This shows that a dual coefficient of performance of 3.38 was obtained.
