Abstract

This study is a sectional study, which is applied to a total of 107 class first students educating at Celal Bayar University, School of Health Services and School of Vocational Health Services in October 2002. We aimed to determine the knowledge of the students about hepatitis B and whether or not they have had the opportunity to be screened and to imply the importance of this issue. The students who had viral hepatitis screening tests, who have social insurance, who were greater than 19 years of age, who study at medical laboratory department and who were graduates of school of vocational health services had more knowledge (p< 0.01).
