dc.description.abstractPurpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the elements comprising the emotional burden of mothers of children with developmental disability. Method: The research was conducted using the in-depth interview method, one of the qualitative research methods. In the study, the purposive sampling method was used to select the sample, 12 mothers were interviewed. The interviews were ended since data saturation was obtained. Inductive content analysis was performed. Results: The themes identified in this qualitative study are as follows: motherly love, joy and sorrow, hope-hopelessness, anger, a constant and desperate problem, supervision and control, and challenge.
