Abstract

As it is known, being one part of our culture, sufism is one of the sources of diwan poetry. Diwan poets included the conceptions of the sects of which they are members in their poems. This thought system showed its effects in the poems of both the members of this strand and in the diwan poetry. Hayâlî Bey who is a poet brought up in Vardar Yenicesi that is known as the stop forthe enlightened and who is among the leading diwan poets of the sixteenth century is also the primary figures of the diwan poets who joined Kalenderîlik. As well as the information given in the collection of biographies, Hayâlî Bey explicitly expressed this situation in his diwan poems. In this article, after firstly giving general information about the life of Hayâlî Bey who is one of the important representatives of diwan and who qualifies himself as a bareheaded Kalenderî by saying Ma'nide nazm kişverinin tâcdâriyem/Sûretde gerçi başi açik bir kalenderem in the end grain verse of a ghazel, the traces of the strands of Kalenderî in his diwan have been tried to be determined with the help of the chosen sample verses. Afterwards, the poet's ghazel that had "ocaǧi" rhyme has been analyzed.
