Some results of optical and nonlinear-optical properties of Cu and Tb nanoparticles implanted in SrTiO3 (STO) crystal are presented. The non-resonant third-order optical nonlinearities have been investigated by degenerate four wave mixing (DFWM), pump-probe and Z-scan techniques using femtosecond laser pulses. © 2010 Elsevier B.V.
