dc.description.abstractAlthough viral disease effects all ages the population, influenza highly affects young adults. Patintes with underlying metabolic diseases, heart and chest diseases and weak immune system and also pregnants are more affected. This aim of this study was to determine the knowledge levels of the university students about swine flu and vaccine, and to determine if they keep abreast of current health information or not. A face-to-face questionnaire about swine flu was performed to 386 Vocational Health Service School and Health Highschool students. It is determined that 189 (49.3%) students did not have enough information about swineflu and although 91 (23.5%) students thought that it is a high risk disease they did not want to be vaccinated.
