Galium shinasii Yildirim (Rubiaceae), is described as a new species from Malatya Province in eastern Anatolia, Turkey. The new species is morphologically related to Galium cornigerum Boiss. & Hausskn. In addition, the conservation status, the distribution map, and notes on the biogeography and ecology of the new species are given. © Levent Şik et al.
