The mechanical behavior of the polymer stabilized blue phase liquid crystal system was able to increase by doping the samples with different monomers with a different functional group and chain length. The morphological study demonstrated that monomer functionality have a significant role in the formation polymer network in a different density and morphology. Furthermore, the results showed that the polymer network density has an effect on the mechanical performance of polymer stabilized BPLC sample. The polymerizable monomers lead an enhancement in the mechanical property of polymer stabilized BPLC sample. © 2018 Elsevier Ltd
