Allergic rhinitis (AR) is one of the most commonly encountered allergic diseases and is characterized by rhinorrhea, nasal obstruction and itching as well as sneezing. In addition to the nasal mucosa inflammation, eye, ear and throat symptoms usually accompany the nasal symptoms. The prevalence is increasing throughout the world and the morbidity and economic consequences associated with the disease are becoming more important. The main aim of treatment is to control the symptoms and to prevent the complications.
