dc.description.abstractNeutron yield obtained from the high-energy proton interaction with the target material depends on the material type as well as its size for a given incident proton energy. Simulation programs are used for the determination of the target. In this study, we determined neutron yield for different target materials (Be, Cu, Pb, Th) and for different proton energies (from 0.3 GeV to 3.0 GeV) by using FLUKA Monte Carlo simulation code. The data obtained may be used for estimations of the neutron yield from targets and shielding materials in the case of using of proton beams.
