dc.description.abstractCopper coin which was attributed to Malik Semseddin Ismail, who was the ruler of Danishmend, located in the coin section of Kuva-yi Milliye Museum, Balikesir. Copper coin is the example of a cultural interaction between Turks and Byzantine in Anatolia. Enthroned Christ on the obverse of copper coin was also used by Danishmendids. This demonstrates political, cultural and trade interaction of the people who lived in Anatolia between the 11th-12th centuries.
