Abstract

Operating energy is a big part of consumed energy of building in life cycle period. Building use energy for providing of thermal comfort conditions, for various electric vehicles and machinery, hot water and lighting, is concerned. Heating / cooling energy is the largest share of energy use in total energy consumption. Therefore, reducing energy consumption for heating / cooling is important in ensuring energy efficiency. In this context reducing to undesirable heat loss and gain is necessary. Unwanted heat losses and gains could reduce with shaping and shell design according to the climate, choosing appropriate buildign materials and appropriate building element design. In this study,, in order to buildings have energy-efficient features, selection of appropriate building materials and appropriate building element design issues are discussed for building elements should have in order to obtain thermal transmittance value. In this context, a reinforced concrete building were taken samples. For vertical building elements of building sample, were analyzed according to TS 825 with determining the thickness of the different building components and verifications condensation. According to the results of analysis, suitable sections are determined which do not cause harmful condensation and providing the necessary heat conductivity coefficient.
