Bektashi Poet: Uskudarli Riza Rami and His Twelve Poem that Wos Found Recently

Abstract

Riza Rami of Uskudar living around the years 1866-1921 was one of the Bektasi poets. Although he lived not far from our time, and had a strong memory in poetry recitation, what ever the reason was, today he is not well known poet by Turkish people. Hereto, just three poems and one epoc of Rami have been published. in a small classical magazine (mecmua), we have found his twelve poems, seven of which were written with aruz (classic meter) and five of which were written with meter, and publihed by giving information about Rami. At the beginning of these poems, some information explaining and conferming the name of the poet, his nickname, his occupation, his home town, etc. has taken place. in these poems, Rami puts an impression suggesting himself as a strong poet who uses the meter and aruz, and knows the language (Turkish) and mysticizm (tasavvuf) well. in these pomes, we can say that the poet discloses his love towards Allah, the Prophet and Ali handling the love and mysticism (tasavvuf) itself. Rami in his poems has uttered and written in different genres and forms such as methiye, munacat, duvaz, divan, kalenderi, semai, kosma, nefes, etc.
