Possessing the Secret of Joy by Alice Walker is a novel which highlightsundeliberate collaboration of African people with the West to destroy not onlytheir own natural sources but also their own community via exploitation andfemale circumcision. It deals with these themes and shows how Africansprepare their own ends because of their greediness and blind attachment totheir primitive traditions. In this respect, the purpose of this article is to shedlight on the deformation of African women generation due to enforcedcircumcision and to reveal how Africans lose their existence when theyunconsciously collaborate with the West on the devastation of the naturalecosystem. The findings of the study demonstrate that Africans are tooignorant to understand the negative effects of wilful exploitation of the forestand genital mutilation.
