Abstract

Diastematomyelia is the segmentation of the spinal cord by a sagittal cleft. The cleft is either made of a bony or fibrocartilageous septum. A patient with diastematomyelia with a bony septum which contained abundant fatty marrow that mimicked a spinal lipoma is presented.
