Abstract
The excessive use of natural resources has reached its peak at present, which has accelerated with the Industrial Revolution and it has also brought economic, social and environmental problems. One of the concepts presented as a solution to these problems is the concept of sustainability/sustainable development has also found many supporters. The fact that the concept of sustainability depends on the ability to apply it in daily life and economic life. One of the applications that will enable to sustainability is sustainable production. In sustainable production aims to decrease the negative effects that may occur to the environment during production, to recycle natural resources with full capacity, and to satisfy the employees. In this study; it is aimed to examine Manisa Industrial Park (MIP) one of the important industrial regions of Turkey, with its own principles of sustainable production (energy, water use and treatment, waste management and recycling, infrastructure, transport and logistics, and services for employees). Within this scope, MIP field reviews were conducted and negotiations were held with regional managers. As a result with implemented plans and programs of MIP is could be an important model for sustainable production in Turkey.
