Abstract
The concentrations of copper, zinc, lead and cadmium in the living tissue of the Mediterranean mussel Mytilus galloprovincialis from the Sinop coasts of the Black Sea were measured by absorption spectrophotometry for monitoring metal pollution in the coastal water. A statistically significant difference in the concentrations of all metals was observed among four sampling stations. The results were compared with previous studies and discussed.
