The WHOQOL-OLD module consists of 24 items assigned to 6 facets (sensory abilities, autonomy, past, present and future activities, social participation, death and dying, and intimacy) and is a supplementary module of WHOQOL-BREF. The WHOQOL-BREF and GDS-30 were also administered to the participants. A confirmatory approach was used during reliability and validity analysis. SPSS v.10.0 and LISREL v.8.54 were used for analysis. Results: Mean age of the participants was 71.06 ± 5.20 years and the overall WHOQOL-OLD score was 56.02 ± 11.86. In all, 54.5% of the participants were female and 60.5% reported to be in poor health. Both ceiling and floor effects of the WHOQOL-OLD were satisfactory (< 0.05%). Alpha values for the facets and overall scale (range: 0.68-0.88) (> 0.70), and item total correlations and overall scale success were satisfactory. As a measure of the construct validity of the scale, confirmatory factor analysis showed very high CFI values (range: 0.936-0.999) for each of the domains. Convergence of WHOQOL-OLD facet scores on WHOQOL-BREF domains and WHOQOL-OLD were very fine in general. Conclusions: The psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the WHOQOL-OLD were acceptable, indicating that the scale is reliable and valid for use with older Turkish adults (> 65 years).Item Hemşirelik oğrencilerinin ilac uygulama hataları(2010) Aynur ÇETİNKAYA; Gülden AYIK; Altuğ Süheyla ÖZSOYCıyla planlandı. Amongst those six species are the first records for Cyprus fauna: Astenus thaboris (Saulcy, 1865), Nazeris ammonita (Saulcy, 1865), Scymbalium anale (Nordmann, 1837), Medon abantensis Bordoni, 1980, Pseudomedon obscurellus (Erichson, 1840) and Paederidus rubrothoracicus (Goeze, 1777), so that a total of 302 staphylinid species are now known from Cyprus.Item ECONOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF THE RELATIONSHIP AMONG INFLATION, THE EXCHANGE RATE AND UNEMPLOYMENT IN TURKEY(2014) EMİNE TÜRKAN AYVAZ GÜVEN; Sibel SelimTurkey is a country, which process high and chronic inflation and unemploymentdepending on crises and negative developments from the late 1970s to thepresent and is a country trying to fight it. One of the most important facts ofeconomics is to follow a low level inflation and less unemployment policy inorder to provide and sustain economic stability. As a result of instability inforeign exchange markets, national or international fluctuations have affectedwelfare levels of countries negatively. Moreover, increase in real effectiveexchange rates affect domestic prices by increasing the costs of import sectorsand also may cause unemployment. This study aims to reveal the correlationamong inflation, the exchange rate and unemployment in Turkey. The realeffective exchange rates, CPI (consumer price index) and unemployment is usedto examine short-and long-term relationships between these variables. Theeconometric analysis is performed for 1990-2012 years and then the results havebeen interpreted. Results of the analysis demonstrate that, real effective exchangerate affects CPI.Item Functions of Curses in Eastern Groups of Turkey Turkish Dialects(2014) serpil ersözUp to now, studies were carried out on the curses generally in the public science and many classifications were made according to their meaning, subject and manner. However; no study on the functions of curses in the spoken language was carried out. In this article, it was revealed with a classification test that we made on this subject that the curses are used in the spoken language with many functions except bad-pray. In this classification, main groups were determined by basing on target person towards whom bad wish in the curses is tended, and sub-groups were formed within the main groups via linguistic and non-linguistic context. Accordingly, it was determined that the curses are used in the spoken language in these functions: curse, oath, regret and swear.Item -(2014) Lina İ. İSRAİL; kemal köseoğlu; HAKAN CENGİZLERIn this study, the settling behaviour of ceramic factory sludge containing suspended solid particles was investigated both by natural sedimentation and PAM flocculation. By natural sedimentation, the variation of time by interface height and turbidity were searched while by flocculation of PAM, the variation of time by sludge concentration, polymer dosage, turbidity, the change in molecular weight and charge were studied. Four anionic (4032, 4041, 4045, 4046), one cationic and one nonionic PAM were used for flocculation experiments. 10 mg/L polymer concentration, % 5 v/v sludge dosage and usage of low anionic PAM were determined to be the optimum conditions. Turbidity test showed that solid-liquid phase separation can be done with greater efficiency by PAM flocculation and therefore more clean water can be collected.Item H İLMÎ AND HIS MASNAVI CALLED CİDÂL- İ ŞÂH ESʻAD BÂ- VEZÎR(2015) Ramazan EkinciThere are many Turkish manuscripts in the manuscript libraries in abroad.Although the catalogues of these works taken out of the country at differenttimes were written long time ago, the deficiency and mistakes in thecatalogues prevent many manuscript come to light. Its sole copy in thisstudying is registered in numbered Ms. Or. Oct. 3681 in Germany NationalLibrary, masnavi named Cidâl- i Şâh Esʻad bâ- Vezîr, the name of which isinformed as Bahs u Cedel in the catalogues and is said that it belongs apoet nicknamed Hilmi, will be dealt. It will be discussed about which Hilmiwas the author of the text and will be tried to determine by starting from theclues. In this mesnevi having value in terms of art history, there are 6miniatures made appropriately to the context. In the work having uniqueidentification concerning the subject, intertwined two stories are told. In theframe story, the discussions king of the Buhara Şah Esʻad and his vizier in acouncil about whether there was a carefree/lighthearted human in theworld, and their journey in order to find lighhearted human at the end oftheir discussions; in the original story, the experiences of Şah Bȋ- gam whomthey met with during this journey are told. After assessing in terms of theshape and content of the work in this studying, transcribed text will beincludedItem -(2015) Ümit KOÇThis study includes the determination and assessment of agricultural productivity in Prilep from information of tapu-tahrir registers in the Otto- man Archive Documents. This article has two main chapters without intro- duction and conclusion. First chapter involves determination and assess- ment of agricultural products and their productivity trends; second chapter involves determination of the productivity levels and their percentages of the total productions. In these article compressions on agricultural production level and their trends by using tax revenues and tax population. The figures about agri- cultural production of the city were directly from the registers but determi- ning the figures about rural production we only used the data from twenty biggest villages in Prilep. Not only in the rural agricultural productivity both also in the city s the grain-growing agriculture (predominantly wheat and barley) had first level and the grape cultivation had second. But the grape cultivation had decreasing trends during the researching period. The inco- mes of the agricultural productions were first level in total incomes from both city and rural areas, so we can explain that the agricultural economy is the most important economy for Prilep. Some assessment methods used in this study are first for tapu-tahrir register, so we hope this new methods will sport the similar researches with the Ottoman archive documents.Item -(2016)Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can be found in many types of adult tissues such as the bone marrow, adipose, placenta, liver, and periosteum. Recently, adipose tissue-derived MSCs (ADMSCs) have become one the most preferred MSC types because of their fast proliferation rate, abundance, and high plasticity for variable cell types. It is known that ADMSCs are able to differentiate into various cells, including osteoblasts, so they are quite promising for orthopedic clinical trials. The present study aimed to compare the osteogenic differentiation conditions of MSCs from human adipose tissue (hADMSC) and those of MSCs from rat adipose tissue (rADMSC). Therefore, differentiation experiments with five different media and two (human and rat) ADMSC types were performed and the mineralization responses of hADMSCs and rADMSCs were different.
